Ray Beech

Ray Marshall Beech, 82, of Chatom, passed away August 12, 2016 at Mobile Infirmary. He was born September 9, 1933 to William P. and Maudie Atchison Beech. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served as an MP during the Korean Conflict. He has been employed by Washington County Pole and Timber, but had most recently worked as a security officer in the construction industry.


He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Mac Beech and stepson, Basil Lolley.


He is survived by his wife, Emma Beech; children, Ray Beech, Jr., Gayle Beech; step-children, Phillip Lolley, Tommy Lolley, Donna Creighton; sister, Ouita Kimbrough and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.


Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Hobson Assembly of God with the Revs. Steve Foster and Ron Butler officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.


Pallbearers will be Cody Beech, John R. Beech, Matthew Creighton, Devin Lolley, Brad Lolley and Derrick Lolley.
