Raymond Bennett

Raymond L. Bennett, 73, of Jackson, passed away August 28, 2023, at his home. He was born on June 8, 1950, In Lucedale, MS, to parents Bufus and Maedell Thompson Bennett. He grew up in the Grove Hill area and graduated from Clarke County High School. Raymond worked at Smiths Bakery as a route supervisor for many years, later switching careers and Working at Advanced Auto Parts. He loved his family and especially his grandsons and enjoyed watching them grow into great young men.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry Bennett, and sister Brenda Salter.

Survived by his wife of 46 years Nanette Tyson Bennett, his son Scott (Nicole) Bennett, grandsons Walker Bennett, Hayden Bennett, and Harlen Odom, many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made in Raymonds memory to Union Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at 1547 Allen Walker Road Grove Hill, AL 36451.
