Rebekah McClure Noble, 97, passed away November 17, 2024. Rebekah was born August 10, 1927 to Edward Oscar and Bernice McClure but most people knew her as Sister Baby, Mother, or Granny. Mrs. Noble was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Jackson where she joyously sang in the choir. A traditional Southern matriarch, Mrs. Noble was dedicated to her loving family. She was an amazing cook who loved to gather with her family. She was quick to ask every time she spoke with someone how the rest of the family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, were doing and what they had been up to.
Mrs. Noble is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chet Noble; son, Ed Noble; daughter, Marsha Walker; and sisters, Emeline Porter and Deedie Bo Pitman.
She is survived by her children, Janet (Spec) McCants, Sam (Frances) Noble, Tom (Suzzane) Noble, and Frank (Molly) Noble; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Services will be held Thursday, November 21, 2024 at First United Methodist Church of Jackson. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral begins at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Chris Walker and Bro. Scott Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Jackson or Pilots for Christ.
Pallbearers will be John McCants, Chris McCants, Justin Noble, Clay Walker, Hunter Noble, and Zack Noble.
