Retha Toland-Capps

Retha Toland Capps, 89, of Mobile, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Palm Gardens Health and Rehabilitation in Mobile. She was born July 13, 1930 to John and Eula Motes in Coffeeville. She was a member of the Jackson Church of the Nazarene where she served as church secretary for many years. She retired from Searcy Hospital as a registered nurse and was happiest when she was working with her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee R. Toland and siblings, Lois Pritchett, Claudine Dunagan and Johnny R. Motes.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Janell) Toland; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Lontine Caron, Jerline Chance Dykeman and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Al Dykeman officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at River Hill Baptist Church with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
