Richard Howard

Richard Howard, 87, of Tibbie, passed away April 14, 2021. Born December 15, 1933 to Layman (Dick) and Viola Knapp Howard. Mr. Howard was a skilled carpenter by trade, he enjoyed his work putting his skills to test on many buildings throughout the area. Richard loved to go fishing and hunting whenever he was able. Mr. Howard loved his family very much and he will be dearly missed.

Preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Edward Howard, wife, Ruby Howard, parents, sisters, Clara Howard, Vera Timothy, brothers, Wilbert Howard, Henry Howard, and grandson, Jacob Hamilton Howard.

Survived by his children, Harold (Mechelle) Howard, Edward (Teresa) Howard, Larry (Cherrie) Howard, stepchildren, Teresa Parker, Debbie Cochran, Bob Cheatham, Cindy Howington, Mandy Verret. Brothers, Frank Howard, Gordon Howard, Wade Howard, sister, Gladys Brown. Grandchildren, Caleb (Erin) Howard, Meagan Howard (Jordan) Walley, Kayla (Daman) Holland, Hunter (Mallory) Howard, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be; Hunter Howard, Daman Holland, J.J. Mott, Clint Howard, Nathan Benton, and Brian Clark. Honorary pallbearers; Kevin Turner and Gary Turner.

Funeral Services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at Howardtown Baptist Church with a visitation starting at 1 p.m. Bro. Ernest Tucker officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
