Robert Burnham

Robert Guy Burnham, 88, died Wednesday, March 29, 2023. Robert was born April 24, 1934 to James Franklin and Jean Burnham. Robert attended Green Briar Military School where he graduated with honors prior to attending Duke University. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp before joining the workforce in sales and management for St. Joe Paper and Box USA.
Robert was a resident of West Bend where he attended West Bend Baptist Church. He loved life on his farm, especially watching the animals roam. Robert enjoyed hunting, deep sea fishing, golf and most notedly tennis. He was an avid fan of Duke Basketball and University of Alabama Football.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents; children, William Creighton Burnham, Robert Guy Burnham Jr., and James Franklin Burnham III; sister Carol Jean Elwood; and granddaughter, Angela Burnham.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 ½ years, Dawn Burnham; beloved son, Andrew Christian (Vanessa) Burnham; daughter, Jill Burnham (Jimmy) Renfore; grandchildren, ChaiBella LuDawn Burnham, Robert Thomas Burnham, Riley Madison Burnham, Tristan Renfroe and Alexis Renfroe; sister, Sally Haddon as well as his nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 7, 2023 at 12:00 pm at West Bend Baptist Church. Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior.
