Robert Dickinson

Bobby C. Dickinson Jr., 62, of Gosport, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at his residence. He was born November 18, 1957 to Robert C. and Carolyn Chapman Dickinson. While attending Livingston University, he started his own timber company that became a successful, lifelong passion. He enjoyed hunting, watching Auburn University football and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie Dickinson; children, Rob (Danaka) Dickinson, Chad (Maggie) Dickinson; step-children, Chuck Andrews, Nikki (Shane) Sturdivant, Whitney (Collie) Reed; siblings, Clay (Judy) Dickinson, Molly (Frank) Noble; 13 grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2020 at Lathan Funeral Home in Grove Hill with the Revs. Mark Knight and Nate Ballard officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until the service begins. Interment will follow the service at Grove Hill Town Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Gil Gilmore, Philip Reynolds, John Newsom, Gary Cooke, Dana Becton, Jason Clark, J.D. Powell and Chuck Andrews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Roberts, Chad Agee, Ray Norris, Frank Noble, Curtis Nash and Keith Savoie.
