Robert Jackowski

Robert Joseph Jackowski, 64, of Vinegar Bend, passed away August 4, 2015 at Providence Hospital in Mobile. He was born July 24, 1951.


An electrician with Morris Industrial, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He also loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Fruitdale Volunteer Fire Department. He had been a member of the Boy Scouts of America as a youth and was a member of Four Points Baptist Church.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Bessie Jackowski; sister, Barbara Walker and granddaughter, Rachel Black.


He is survived by his wife, Linda Davidson Jackowski; children, Robert Michael Jackowski, Wendy Ileaner (Felix) Cruz; siblings, Gary (Gloria) Jacksowski, Dennis Jackowski, Peggy Belcher and grandchildren, Lacey Victoria Jackowski and Gracie Jane Petra Cruz.


Funeral services will be Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Four Points Baptist Church with the Rev. Doug Price officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom directing.


Active pallbearers will be Ed Owens, Samuel Davidson, Jeff Brown, Phillip Belcher, Felix Cruz and Gary Jackowski, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Heathcock and Roger Davis.
