Robert Poole

Robert Emmet Poole, 61, of Jackson, passed away March 2, 2017 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, Miss. He was born in Grove Hill on May 9, 1955 to Louie Poole, Sr. and Sarah Bell Bailey Poole. A member of Walker Springs Baptist Church, he very much enjoyed his work as a volunteer with Southern Care Hospice which permitted him to visit daily with residents of the nursing home.



He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Louie Poole, Jr.



He is survived by his wife, Deborah Moore Poole; children, Elizabeth (Leonard) Jones, April Poole; grandchildren, Landon Jones, Dixie Jones, Joshua Jones, Daxton Bushnell and siblings, Jerry (Frances) Poole, Helen (Basil) Jackson, Leonard (Vickie) Poole, Sue (David) Tolbert, Janet (Jimmy) Flowers, Donna Nielsen and Mary (Terry) Robbins.



Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. David Webb officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Peniel Baptist Church in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.



Pallbearers will be Jim Jackson, John Wayne Tolbert, Bobby Tolbert, Adam Tolbert, Alan Tolbert, Landon Jones, Chris Jordan and Jessie Lowery.



Dr. Sid Crosby will be an honorary pallbearer.
