Robert “Bob” Eugene Stiltner, Sr. 82, of McIntosh, entered into eternal life on Thursday, October 31, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. He was born December 3, 1936 to Martin “Did” and Margaret Stiltner in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was a successful business man in the auto parts industry for more than 50 years, 24 of which he owned McIntosh Auto Parts. He enjoyed watching Alabama football and was a musician at heart, playing his guitar and singing in church at McIntosh Baptist Church where he was a member and trustee. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Charles Stiltner, Ted Stiltner, Cecil Stiltner, Stanley Stiltner, Rosalie McCaffery, Helen Carley, Carlotta Counts, Wanda Bailey and Nora Nelson.
He is survived by his wife of more than 22 years and the love of his life, Marsha Platt Stiltner; children, Robert Eugene Stiltner, Jr., Cynthia (Howard) Wright, Gregory Martin Stiltner, Kimberly (Danny) King; grandchildren, Justin Stiltner, Brandon Wright, Jared Wright, Haley Wright, Amber Stiltner, Allison Stiltner, William King, Victoria King, Andrew King, Isabella King; great-grandchildren, Stephen Raybon, Stella Wright, Miles Wright; siblings, Ronnie (Marilyn) Stiltner, Frances Glaze, Bonnie (Ron) Beach, Patti (David) Powers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12 p.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019 at McIntosh Baptist Church with Bros. John Stone and Billy Miller officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Justin Stiltner, Brandon Wright, Jared Wright, Jim Tucker, Danny King and Billy Miller.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the McIntosh Baptist Church Choir, Billy Baxter, Wayne Waugh and Stephen Raybon.
