Roger Fore

Roger Glenn Fore, 62, of Coffeeville, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at University Medical Center (USA) in Mobile. He was born February 17, 1956 to James W. "Red" Fore, Jr. and Gladys Bumpers Fore in Jackson. A devoted family man, he fully enjoyed life; he worked and played hard. He loved God, hunting, fishing and serving the Coffeeville community. A longtime member of the Coffeeville Fire Department where he was Battalion Chief, he was also a member of the town council and proudly rode atop the final firetruck as Santa Claus at the annual Christmas parade. He was a member of Union Chapel Methodist Church and was employed at Liberty Building Products (formerly Jackson Cabinet).

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Hart and Harrell Shewmake.

He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 43 years, Sheila Young Fore of Coffeeville; children, Jessica Fore of Coffeeville, Joshua (Billie Jo) Fore of Jackson; grandchildren, Jacob Caldwell, Jordan Fore, Robert Griffin, Jr., Kason Fore, Kayleigh Thrash; aunts, Joyce Fore, Kathleen Bumpers; siblings, Jim (Dottie) Fore, Cherry Hart, Glenda (Arville) Miller, Gretchen (Carl) Sudduth, Tammy Fore; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 in the auditorium at Coffeeville High School with the Revs. Cleon Kyles, Carl Sudduth, and Butch Starks officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson from 6-8 p.m. Interment will follow the service on Friday at Union Grove Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Coffeeville Fire Department members, Chief Dwight Pugh, Mack May, Tom Taylor, Ricky Clanton, Noah Pugh, Matthew Milstead, Craig Milstead and Timothy Hodge.

Honorary pallbearers will include the additional members of the Coffeeville Fire Department, employees of Liberty Building Products and all of his nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations toward his final expenses would be appreciated.
