Ronald Caleb Harrison, 31, of Selma, passed away August 29, 2021 after a battle with COVID 19. Born on March 13, 1990 to parents Doug and Dianna Hutto Harrison, Caleb grew up in Grove Hill where he loved playing football and hunting as a young man. He had a knack for wood working and enjoyed writing; his family loved reading his stories. Caleb was the warehouse manager at Safford Equipment and Hardware; he thoroughly loved his job and the friends he worked with. Most important to him were his family; his son and his wife were the center of his universe. He will truly be missed.
Caleb is preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlotte Harrison.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Owen Hartzog Harrison, his son Owen Caleb Harrison; his parents, Doug and Dianna Harrison; brother, Jacob (Mollie) Harrison; sister, Ellen Paul; nieces and nephews, Ethan, Baylee, and Wyatt Harrison and Emma and Bo Paul; grandfather, Ronald Harrison; uncle, Michael Harrison; cousins, Mike and Kalee Harrison; grandparents, Robert (Martha) Hutto, in-laws, Susanna (Stewart) Speed, Dean Hartzog; sister-in-law, Ann Shannon Speed; aunt, Carla (Lonnie) Layton, and many other extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Harrison, Michael Harrison, Mike Harrison, Brandon Chancellor, Brandon Harris and Garrison Thompson.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Magnolia Lawn Cemetery, 20334 Hwy 43 in Grove Hill. Dr. Jerry Light from First Baptist Church of Selma will be officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
