Ruby Rutledge Baugh, 86, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022, at her daughter's residence in Fowl River. She was born on Saturday, October 5, 1935, in Nettlesboro, AL. An active member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Jackson, she had been a homemaker for most of her adult life. She enjoyed being in the outdoors and loved the sunshine. Fishing, gardening and cooking for her family were among her favorite activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Holly Edward Rutledge, Kylie Evessie McHaney Rutledge and sisters-in-law, Alice Rutledge and Nora Rutledge.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert Baugh; daughters, Elaine Baugh (Walt, Jr.) Sessions; Carol Baugh, Donna Baugh; grandchildren, Walter (Angela) Sessions, III, Justin (Joanna) Sessions; great-grandchildren, Walt Sessions, IV, Kloe Sessions, Leila Sessions, Ryker Sessions; brothers, Maurice (Emily) Rutledge, Marvin Rutledge, Irvin Rutledge and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Forest Avenue Baptist Church with the Revs. Nicholas Hughes and John Boss officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be J.R. Morgan, Buford Rutledge, Justin Sessions, Walter Sessions, Jr., Walter Sessions, III and Walter Sessions, IV.
The Forest Avenue Baptist Church Ladies II Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.
