Ruby James Jones, 90, of Coffeeville, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Jackson Health Care Facility. She was born January 15, 1930 to Levingston Eugene “Genie” James and Mellie Lillian Roberts James in Clarke County. She was a member of Jones Chapel Church of Christ and had been employed Thomasville Adult Adjustment Center. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, crocheting and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph Austin “Joey” Jones; grandson, Tyler Jones and brothers, Roy James, Herman James and Chester James.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Diane) Jones, Janee’ (Joe) Parden; grandsons, Ethan (Ester) Parden, Lane Parden; great-grandchildren, Emma Parden, Sarah Parden, William Parden; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2020 at Ulcanush Baptist Church in Coffeeville with the Bro. Adam Andrews officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Cox, Darryl Dunagan, Tim Jones, Tom Jones, Alex Lovett, Ethan Parden and Lane Parden.
