Ruby Turner

Ruby Yvonne Turner, 88, of Hawthorn, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2018. She was born January 10, 1930 to James and Ruby Howard. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she devoted her life to making a home for her family. She was also a faithful member of Tibbie Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Bill" Turner; son, David Turner and siblings, Donald Howard and Bessie Singleton.
She is survived by children, Bobby Turner, Kay (Matt) Pace, Linda (Billy Joe) Baxter; grandchildren, Mitch (Christy) Turner, Shane (Deanna) Turner, Scott (Tanya) Turner, Grant (Kim) Baxter, Chris (Karla) Baxter, Brett (Holly) Turner, Cole (Margaret) Pace; siblings, Hilda Young, Louise (Buck) Buchannan, Audrey (Joe) Henderson; daughter-in-law, Ouida Turner; thirteen great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Tibbie Baptist Church with Rev. Woody Baugh and Rockey Pierce officiating and grandson, Grant Baxter will deliver the eulogy. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Bethel United Methodist Church in Hawthorn with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
