Salli Elizabeth Parden, age ten months, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at USA Children's and Women's Hospital in Mobile. She was born there on July 11, 2020 to Jessica Thomas and Lane Parden. Described by her mother as a "sassy diva," she enjoyed playing with her brother and watching him play baseball and basketball. She loved being outside and riding the golf cart. She even visited Orange Beach and Bryant Denny in Tuscaloosa. She was fascinated with colorful lights, especially those on Christmas trees.
She is survived by her parents; brother, William Gartman, II; maternal grandparents, Richard and Debra "Honey" and "Pops" Skipper, Dale and Tabatha "Gigi" and "Big Papa" Thomas; paternal grandparens, Joe and Janee "Joe-Joe" and Nee'Nee" Parden; great-grandmother, Patricia "Mammaw" Allday; great-grandfather, George W. "Ruler" Skipper, III; aunts and uncles, Elizabeth Skipper, Richard Skipper, II, Julia and Justin Brooks, Kristian and Cammie Thomas, Chandler Thomas, Cameran Thomas, Emalee Thomas, Ethan and Ester Parden; cousins, Delta Brooks, Emma Brooks, Emma Mathis, Sarah Elizabeth Parden, William Savage Parden and numerous other relatives and family friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. Scott Myers officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
