Sereda Hodge

Sereda Eva Roberts Hodge, 66, of Jackson, passed away January 14, 2019 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. She was born November 2, 1952 to Jasper Cecil Roberts and Eva Pearl Steele Roberts in Grove Hill. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she enjoyed traveling abroad with her husband, spending time at the family homeplace in Campbell and reading in her spare time. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lillie C. Dunagan, Marion "Polly" Roberts and brother, Aron Roberts.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John William Hodge; daughters, Rhonda Sue (Byron Craig) Hodge Moseley, Pamela Denise (Ben, Jr.) Hodge Lee; grandchildren, Andrea Kristin (Clint) Moseley Borders, Whitney Austin (Talbot) Moseley LeMaster, Savannah Denise Moseley Brinkley, Jonathan Keith Lee, Jacob Ryan Lee; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Peyton Brinkley, Adelyne Rose LeMaster, Ellis Ray Borders; sisters, Dot (Johnny) Marshall, Jean Evelyn Dunegan; dearest friend, Ruby Nell Cave and numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on January 17, 2019 at Witch Creek Baptist Church in Campbell with Dr. Ben Stubblefield officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Interment will follow the service at Witch Creek Baptist Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Lee, Jacob Lee, Clint Borders, Lyn Roberts, Wendell Hodge, and Richard Hodge.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Marshall, John Marshall and Tab LeMasters.
