Shirley Ann Mauldin Cox, 81, of Coffeeville, passed away, Saturday, March 16, 2024. She was born in Mobile on Saturday, January 30, 1943, to Raymond and Ruthie Brunson Mauldin. She was a member of Grace Chapel Church in Coffeeville and had been employed a with Vanity Fair in Jackson. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend and enjoyed spending time with her family and attending church functions. She and her husband, Fletcher, were skilled craftsmen, and they frequently worked at numerous festivals where they sold the many items they created. Their family and friends were the recipients of many of their crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Evelyn Marshall, Lavern Batley and Voncille Hoven.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Fletcher Cox; sons, Tony (Rena) Cox, Greg (Tanya) Cox; grandchildren, Charity Cox, Anthony (Jasmine) Cox, Kelsey Cox, Kaley Criswell; great-grandchildren, Brylie Cooper, Landen Andrews, Camden Cox, Natalie Cox, Jaiden Cox, Olivia Criswell; brother, Bobby (Carolyn) Mauldin and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Grace Chapel Church (1764 Hodge Road, Coffeeville) with the Revs. Butch Starks and Larry Cox officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Mosley Springs Church on Hodge Road, Coffeeville with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Cox, Jeremy Mauldin, Gary Mauldin, Landen Andrews, Jon David Cox, Jac Cox and Terrell Hodge.
Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Brown, Ray Counselman, Earl Bryant, Clifton Bryant, Keith Autry and Russell Dixon.
