Stanley Dunegan

Stanley Dunegan, 72, of Coffeeville, passed away May 22, 2018 at Springhill Medical
Center in Mobile. He was born September 11, 1945 to S.G. and Mable Bumpers Dunegan. A welder by trade, he was also a skilled craftsman in many other areas such as electrical, plumbing and woodwork. He enjoyed outdoor activities, especially cutting grass, and was a fan of Alabama football and Nascar. A 39-year veteran of the Army National Guard, he was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Coffeeville and the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Kim William Sheffield.
He is survived by his wife, Dot Dunegan; daughters, Sherry Sheffield, Robyn Dunegan, Nikki Autry; sisters, Jan Hill, Katrina Presnall; grandchildren, Grace Smith, Josie Autry, Elen Autry, Avaree Harper and devoted friend, Jamey (Lisa) Dunagan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11a.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Coffeeville with the Revs. Brent Fuller and Jesse Griffith officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at the Coffeeville Town Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Jamey Dunagan, Bill Taylor, Jimmy Knight, Donnie Ray Singleton, Ronnie Craft, Charles Craft, Clay Parnell and Kris Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hank Dunagan, Sonny Creighton, Ray Brunson, Evan Wilson, Eddie Wilson and the members of his Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church of Coffeeville.
