Susan had a life-long passion for music. She was a longtime member of the Chancel Choir at First United Methodist Church in Jackson. She also served for many years as the church organist, assistant pianist and youth music leader. Her love for music made its way into the classroom as she was known to play relaxing music as her students worked in class at Tuscaloosa Academy. Although she deeply loved music and she deeply loved her students, her greatest joy came in her role as "SuSu", the grandmother. Susan was always up for an adventure and enjoyed traveling with friends. She had a deep love of animals and the outdoors.
Her gentle and loving presence is already missed by her family, as well as many loving relatives, friends, former students and colleagues. May God rest her sweet, sweet soul.
