Susan Waddill

Gloria Susan May Waddill of Jackson passed away on January 3, 2025 at her home. She was born May 22, 1951 to Ivy and Lottie Dolbear May. Susan was a 1970 graduate of Jackson High School. She married the love of her life, John N. Waddill, III, in 1971. They were married 50 years until his passing in 2021. Susan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Susan loved music and singing at family get-togethers with her siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was a member of Walker Springs Road Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Survived by sons, John N. (Sunni) Waddill, IV and Ivy S. Waddill; three grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Mathews and Gayle (Joe) Larrimore; and brother, Jerry (LaVonne) May.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Lathan Funeral Home, Jackson. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral begins at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. David Webb and Bro. Fred Odom, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Neil Bush, Bryan Moseley, Nick Waddill, Crayton Motes, Pat Dolbear, and Chris Johnson.
