Teresa Anne Noble Norris is resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus today after battling a long and courageous fight against cancer. She was born in the Tripoli Army Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii on January 7, 1955 and died at home in Opine, AL on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.
Preceding her in death were her parents, William Wentford and Dorothy Anne McIntyre Noble; all of her grandparents, and a previous husband, David Hoven.
Living to remember Tesa are her husband and soulmate, Jerry Wayne Norris; two sisters, Nancy (Randy) Harrison, Alice (Ken) Vick; a brother, Michael (Sheila) Noble; two sisters-in-law, Cindy (John) Wood, Sheila (Chris) Roe; five nieces, Kaylyn (Zac) Grocholl Hastings, Codi Vick, Mallory Roe, Megan Roe, Tayla Wood; nine nephews, Clark (Danielle) Harrison, Patrick (Jennifer) Harrison, Allan Noble, Scott Noble, Ryan Noble, Mick Grocholl, Conrad (Taylor) Vick, Trevor Wood, Remington Roe and three "greats," Mickael McNemar, Robert McNemar and Riley Ann Vick. Tesa never had children of her own but loved her nieces and nephews as if they were.
A lifelong love of Jesus is the best description of Tesa, but everyone will also remember "Tesa" for her generosity, her quick wit, her passion for Alabama football and her rescue efforts for abused and abandoned animals, especially dogs.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Bashan Baptist Church and Cemetery with Revs. Benny Harrison, David Murray, and Adam Hughes officiating. Lathan Funeral Home conducting.
Active pallbearers will be Warren Noble, Conrad Vick, Zac Hastings, Mick Grocholl, Trevor Wood, Chris Roe, Chuck Kane and Brandon Baker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clark Harrison, Patrick Harrison, Alvin McIntrye, Harold Agee and Joe Littlepage.
