Timothy Glenn Guy, 59, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was born in Jackson on March 5, 1962. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he had been employed as a safety manager in the construction industry and was a member of the Jackson Volunteer Fire Department. He was a die-hard fan of The University of Alabama football program, but he loved all sports, any kind of music and anything to do with cowboys, including western programs and movies. He also enjoyed fishing, golf, travel and riding motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Audrey Guy.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Guy; mother, Maxine Guy; siblings, Karen Baxter, Sharon Hare, Tammy Howard, Brandon Guy, Chad Guy, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Asbury Baptist Cemetery in Grove Hill with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Clay Bumpers, Connor Bumpers, Payton Bumpers, Gary Campbell, Aubrey Hinson and Calvin Stephens.

It is requested that all planning to attend the service wear a mask.
