Timothy Williamson

Timothy Wayne Williamson, 70, of Gosport, died June 1, 2015 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. He was born September 15, 1944. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of Gosport Hilton Hunting Club. He was a material engineer with the Alabama Department of Transportation for 38 years and was a retired member of the Alabama National Guard.


He was preceded in death by his parents, L.E." Bully" and Birdie Williamson and two brothers, "Little Bully" Williamson and Phil Williamson.


He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lyda Williamson of Whatley; son Scott (Connie) Williamson; one sister, Rachel (Don) Duke; one brother, Richard "Dick" (Jo) Williamson and granddaughter, Kay Williamson.


Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. at Gosport Methodist Church. Graveside services will be June 3, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Gosport Cemetery with the Rev. Percy Clarke officiating and Lathan Funeral Home officiating.


Active pallbearers will be Rayce Tarleton, Jim Dunagan, Robbie Bolen, Mike Williamson, Wesley Williamson, Tyler Miller, Bryant Bolen, III and Billy Bixler.
