Torie Martin Wiggins, 52, of Jackson, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at Saad Hospice in Mobile. She was born October 3, 1967 to Troy and Dorothy Boykin Martin in Demopolis. An employee of Boise for 22 years, she was a devoted member of the “Bama Gang,” a group of friends who gathered to watch Alabama football games. A devoted mother and wife, she was also a master chef who enjoyed the Cooking Channel so much that she watched every day. She also frequently attended festivals and flea markets, always in search of unique items.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeremy Douglas Wiggins and brother, Troy “Skip” Martin, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Douglas Wiggins; son, Joshua Martin Wiggins; sisters, Dana Edwards, Jennifer Martin; uncles, Roy Martin, Bill Martin; aunts, Debra Smith, Janet Stallings and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with the Rev. E.C. Russell officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until the start of the service. Interment will follow the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Elmore, Tyler Byrd, Richard “Bubba” Weaver, Tobias James, John Moore, John Wright, Michael Christensen and Coleman Beech.
