Van Payne

Van Chapman Payne, 73, of Jackson, passed away Friday March 26, 2021. Van was born June 15, 1947 to Arnell Chapman and Doris Elizabeth York Payne. Van worked and retired from Olin Chemical as an operator. He loved spending time at Millers Ferry fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Payne is survived by his children, Kent (Missy) Payne, Amy (JJ) Price, grandchildren, Matthew Payne, Joshua Payne, Cade Price, and Ally Price. Brother, Randy (Sherry) Payne, sister, Margaret Ann Daily, wife of 52 years, Judy Payne and many other extended family members and friends.
Memorial services will be Monday March 29, 2021 at 4 p.m. with a visitation starting at 3 p.m. at Jackson First Baptist Church with Dr. Ben Stubblefield officiating and Lathan Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery fund, in memory of Van Payne.
