Wallace Hoven

Wallace "Buddy" Hoven, 81, of Jackson, passed away September 18, 2018 at Covenant Care Hospice at Providence Hospital in Mobile. He was born January 30, 1937 to William and Mamie Tolbert Hoven. A member of Stave Creek Baptist Church, he enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Elizabeth Autry, Henry Elvin Hoven, Wynona Pryor and grandson, Al "Gator" Hoven, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Wilson Hoven; children, Al (Rose) Hoven, Sr., Sheila McDonald, Darrell W. Hoven, Jessica Rivers, Michael Lewis; grandchildren, Ikee Lee (Jessie) Koen, Dakota Hoven, MaKayla Hoven, Krystal Weaver, Zachary Hoven, Logan Watts, Brody Lewis, Kennedy Gunter and great-grandchildren, Kyra Weaver, Kohen Weaver and Nancy Byrd.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Grace Chapel Church in Coffeeville with the Rev. Renea Henderson officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Cobb-Wilson Cemetery on Wilson Circle.
Pallbearers will be Ikee Lee Koen, Zachary Hoven, Kevin Jackson, Henry Hoven, Devon Hoven, Draper Washington and Larry Tolbert.
