Wanda Johnson

Wanda Coleman Johnson, 89, of Whatley, passed away July 6, 2019 at home with her family by her side. She was born June 25, 1930 in Whatley to Leonard and Velma Garrick Coleman. Her career in the U.S. Postal Service was spent as the Postmaster of the Whatley Post Office. Wanda was a member of the Clarke County Historical Society, and attended Grove Hill First Baptist Church and Horeb Baptist Church.

She is survived by Her son Lamar (Tyrrell) Johnson, grandchildren; Coleman Sollie Johnson, Seth Drinkard, great-grandchild; Rowen Gage Drinkard. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be at 10 am on Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Whatley Cemetery with Rev. Roger Robinson officiating with Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be Coleman Sollie Johnson, Cody Gunter, Chase Gunner, Derrick Callaway, Damon Callaway, William Averett, Robert Edward Garrick, and Gerald Spidle.
