Wayne Waugh, 74, of Wagarville, AL passed away on February 15, 2022 in Mobile, AL surrounded by family. He was born on June 24, 1947 to Archie and Elva Waugh of Selma, AL. After high school Wayne attended Livingston University as a music major and later received his ordination as a minister. Wayne loved his family, friends, serving the Lord, and traveling.
Wayne is proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Matthew Waugh of Birmingham, AL. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sheila Sullivan Waugh, two daughters Pamela Thornton (Jimmy) and Paula George (Joseph) both of Centerton, AR, along with 5 grandchildren, Ross Horton (Jessica), Maycie Warr (Hunter), Kendall Thornton, Kaleb Taylor, and Tyler George, 3 great grandchildren Raiden and Cooper Horton, and Bryleigh Warr, two brothers Archie Waugh (Shirley) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Fredrick Waugh of Opelika, AL, and many nieces and nephews. He was excited knowing that he had another great grandson who will be joining the family in June, Brooks Warr.
Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday February 18, 2022 at Wagarville Baptist Church with a visitation from 12 p.m to 1p.m. Bros. John Conn, John Stone, and William Dortch officiating and Lathan Funeral Home Directing.
Pallbearers: Ross Horton, Kendall Thornton, Hunter Warr, Tyler George, Kaleb Taylor, Ray Savage and Jimbo Sullivan. Honorary Pallbearers: Larry Cunningham, Leo Thomas, Brian Sullivan, and Bo Roney
