William Jordan

William F. "Billy" Jordan, age 82, a resident of Chatom, AL passed away on December 27, 2015 in Mississippi. Mr. Jordan was born on September 8, 1933 to the late Jesse L. Jordan and Minnie Lou Reed Jordan. He was a member of Chatom Baptist Church. Mr. Jordan retired from Olin Corporation after 35 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and a great deer and turkey hunter. Billy attended the University of Alabama and was a member of the Million Dollar Band. He and his wife, Janet, enjoyed there twice yearly trips to Cades Cove, TN. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother's, Jesse Jordan, Jr., Charles H. Jordan and Robert K. Jordan. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Janet Jordan of Chatom; 2 stepchildren: Mike Warrick (Betty) of Seaboard, AL and Rhonda Lucas (Bill) of Chatom, AL; 4 children: William Kenneth Jordan (Linda Gail) of Jackson, AL, Marcia Harris (Nelson) of Staunton, VA, Alan Jordan (Angie) of Bay Minette, AL and Rebecca Scarbrough (Fields) of Manteo, NC; 2 step-grandchildren, Haley Warrick Turner and Colby James Lucas; 4 grandchildren, Chris Jordan, Lisa Tolbert, Jennifer Beegle and Andy Jordan; 7 great-grandchildren.
