William Virgil Thrash, 76, of Leroy, passed away April 5, 2019 at Spring Hill Memorial Hospital with his wife of 57 years by his side. He was born September 12, 1942 in Butler to Abner E. and Annie Ford Thrash.
Mr. Thrash was drafted into the United States Army, where he honorably served during the Vietnam War. William retired from Olin Chemicals and was a member of Jackson Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Thrash.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Andrew (Chasity) Thrash; daughter, Amanda (Charles) McMahon; grandchildren, Skylar Thrash, Chas McMahon, Samantha (Jeff) Rosser, Cody McMahon, Charleigh McMahon; great-grandchildren, Tyler Rosser and Natalie Rosser.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Jones Chapel Church of Christ in Coffeeville with Pastors Jason Gamble, Brian Gentle and Bros. Bruce Todd officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm. Interment will follow the service at the church cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.
Pallbearers are Rodney Courington, Daniel Courington, Adam Mathews, Marc Keahey, Bill Walker and Jerry Reeves.
