Willodene Jordan

Willodene Dunn Jordan, 87, of Grove Hill died November 11, 2019 at her home. She was born September 19, 1932 to Woodie Milton and Sadie Victoria Dunn. She had worked at Vanity Fair for 15 years where she set up their first training department and was the retired owner of Jordan’s Cleaners in Grove Hill. She was a member of Grove Hill Baptist Church where she participated in the church choir. Above all she loved her Lord, children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jesse Ray Jordan, brother Kenneth Dunn and granddaughter Sabrina Jordan.

She is survived by her children, Kaye (Terry) Horton of Jackson, Debbie (David) James of Baton Rouge, LA, Ray Jordan of Grove Hill, Karen (Randy) Brooks of Grove Hill, Ashley (Daniel) Fuller of Grove Hill; 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, siblings Shirley Davis, Linda Tindle, and Wanda (W. W.) Moore, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at Grove Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Dr. Randy Boone and Bro. Dustin Shelander officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service in Magnolia Lawn Cemetery with Lathan Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Trent Horton, Torey Horton, Toney Horton, Jonathan James, Jesse Wade Jordan, David Ray Jordan, Jordan Brooks, and Eli Fuller.

Honorary pallbearers will be the L.I.F.E. Sunday School Class and Love Adult Sunday School Class of Grove Hill Baptist Church.
